Wow. There were so many illogical jumps in this piece, it boggles the mind.

"Warr Acres is in financial trouble, so elect progressives"??? How about just elect people who will spend the money responsibly and raise or cut taxes when needed? It seems liberals...oops, I mean "progressives"...can never fathom cutting taxes; only raising them so they can keep adding more and more to the government plate.

Granted, taxes are the price we pay for civilization, as Justice Holmes famously remarked. Thing is, when he made that remark Americans only had to work three weeks a year to earn enough money to pay the federal, state, and local tax collectors. Today, the average Oklahoman has to work three and half months to pay the tax collectors. So one can see how the "ant-tax crowd" might be a little fed up.

The good news is, blogs like this demonstrate that news reporters -- far from being objective transmitters of neutral facts -- do indeed have a point of view. There's nothing wrong with this, but readers deserve to know it.
